Wallace & Turner is once again sponsoring the Springfield Rotary Club’s Ninth Gourmet Food Truck Competition being held Saturday, Aug. 19, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. in Veterans Park. Attracting over 10,000 guests each year, the competition continues to grow and thrive as Springfield’s must-taste event of the summer. The competition will feature up to 35 food trucks full of unique palate-pleasing cuisine, along with live entertainment, a beer garden and more.
While the competition is a great community event, it’s also a major fundraiser that supports the Rotary Club’s charitable programs. Over the first five years of the competition alone, over $100,000 was raised for Springfield Rotary’s causes from the support of the community. This includes services to people with disabilities, which has increased the number of individuals served by more than 70 percent since the inaugural competition in 2014.

Wallace & Turner is once again serving as a sponsor of the Clark County Fair being held July 21-28, 2023. The fair will feature rides, music entertainment, a junior fair livestock show, rodeo, Clark County Fair queen contest, pig and calf scrambles, and much more.
Veterans will be admitted free on Saturday, July 22 with a military ID, and kids ten and under will be free on Wednesday, July 26.

Yellow Springs Pride, Inc. is an organization that plans year-round LGBTQ+ resources and produces the annual Yellow Springs Pride Festival. Its mission is to offer a comprehensive, community-based service organization to the LGBTQ+ population of Yellow Springs as well as the surrounding areas including, but not limited to, the Dayton and Miami Valley area by providing event spaces, activities, and resources that encourage advocacy, education, and entertainment and to increase visibility, inclusion and connection
for the LGBTQ+ community.
Wallace & Turner was proud to support Rocking Horse Community Health Center’s 21st Annual Golf Classic on June 12, 2023, at Windy Knoll Golf Club. Proceeds from the event help to provide increased patient care and outreach services to those in the Springfield community who need it the most.
Since its founding in 1919, Ridgewood School has been a "home away from home" for many students. To continue offering high-level curriculum and extra-curriculum, employing outstanding teachers and offering scholarships to worthy students, Ridgewood hosts an annual Hearts & Hands Auction to reach its fundraising goals.

Empty Bowls is a fundraiser for Second Harvest Food Bank and its member agencies in realizing the mission of eliminating food insecurities in Clark, Champaign and Logan Counties, Ohio.
Wallace & Turner is proud to once again sponsor Empty Bowls on March 23 from 4:30 – 7:00 pm at Wittenberg University. Tickets are $20 for a beautifully hand-crafted bowl of your choice and delicious soup from local restaurants and caterers.
Local artisans (Scott Dooley, Matt Johnson, Sandy Winter, Bruce Grimes, Thelma Matthews and The Cracked Pot Studio potters) donate handmade bowls and school art departments (Wittenberg, Springfield High School, Graham Local Middle School, and Bellefontaine High School) have their students create and donate bowls. Local restaurants and bakeries donate gallons of soups and hundreds of loaves of bread to these events. Hundreds of people volunteer on event nights and hundreds of people show up to enjoy great food and fellowship.

Junior Achievement’s mission is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed. The inspiration piece comes from community volunteers who not only deliver the organization’s lessons, but share their experience. In the process, these volunteers serve as role models helping to positively impact young people’s perceptions about the importance of education, as well as critical life skills. Preparation involves Junior Achievement’s proven lessons that promote financial capability, work and career readiness, and business ownership.

The Wallace & Turner Life & Health team had a booth at CultureFest 2022 held on September 17th in downtown Springfield. The annual event is a celebration and collaborative effort between the City of Springfield Community Development Department with neighborhood and organizational partners committed to growing unity through diversity. CultureFest offered dance and music entertainment, children’s activities, a food court featuring international and American cuisine and merchandise and information vendors. CultureFest is supported through donations from individuals and organizations.

Fairgoers will be able to enjoy new and old attractions, food vendors, rides and live entertainment, as Clark County’s 4-H and FFA members compete with their animals. Gates open each day at 8 a.m. after the first day.

Up to 30 food trucks full of unique palate-pleasing cuisine will once again roll into Veteran’s Park, along with live entertainment, a beer garden and more on August 20, 2022, in Springfield for the Springfield Rotary Club’s Eighth Gourmet Food Truck Competition. Wallace & Turner is proud to serve as a Food Truck Sponsor.
Delicious food will include gourmet hot dogs and sandwiches, Pierogies, Empanadas, Cuban, BBQ, Mexican/TexMex, Italian, Carolina Coastal, American, Seafood, Jewish, Farm Raised, Asian, Latin, Mediterranean, and sweets.
Live entertainment will be available from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and the Beer Garden will be serving domestics and local craft brews from Springfield’s own Mother Stewart’s Brewing Company, and for those who don’t fancy alcohol, soda and water is available. In addition to Mother Stewart’s selection of craft beer, alcohol options this year include Michelob Ultra, Bud Light, Budweiser and White Claw.
